How to take foot length measurements

A. TO MEASURE THE LENGTH OF THE SOLE OF THE FOOT:

Foot position: Place your bare foot or a thin sock on a sheet of paper on a flat surface. Make sure your foot is fully supported.

Trace the outline: Use a pencil to draw the outline of your foot. Hold the pencil perpendicular to the sheet of paper to get an accurate measurement.

Measure length: Using a tape measure, measure from the longest part of your heel to the longest point of your toe (usually your big toe or second toe). This is your foot length .

B. TO MEASURE THE WIDTH OF THE FOOT :

Foot Position: With your foot flat, wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your foot (usually the area where the pads of your toes are, just before the bunions).

Adjusting the measuring tape: Make sure the measuring tape is snug against your foot, but not too tight. The measurement should be comfortable, mimicking the fit of a shoe.

Read the measurement: Take note of the number where the measuring tape overlaps, which will be the width of the foot .
